If it is hard for you to visit a doctor during normal working hours, ask for an early or late appointment. Many GP practices are open longer than 9am - 5pm, and some are open on Saturdays.
To make it even easier for local people to get urgent, same day appointments with a family doctor two GP hubs have opened in the borough which provide urgent appointments between 6.30pm and 10pm on weekdays, between 8am and 8pm on weekends. Call 020 3770 1888 to book an appointment, or find out more here.
If you are not registered with a GP and need medical help,
Harold Wood polyclinic is at The Drive (off Gubbins Lane), Harold Wood, RM3 0AR; tel 01708 792000. It is open from 8am – 8pm every day of the year (including weekends and all public holidays).
Please note after 7 pm or earlier if it is busy, you may not be able to be seen. However where appropriate you will be triaged by a clinician and advised either to return the next day or you will be redirected to another health care provider. Towards the end of the day it is advisable to telephone to check our wait times and availability.
Please be aware that x-ray reports are processed off site and to insure that we are able to diagnose and treat injuries successfully by 8pm please telephone ahead to check the volume of patients already booked in.
